Opportunity to join a leading global bank in a Relationship Manager role covering a number of sectors.

Our client is seeking a Relationship Manager to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build and leverage internal and external networks, develop innovative solutions for clients, manage a diverse loan portfolio, and implement effective risk management strategies. The successful candidate will have the chance to work in a supportive and inclusive environment that values teamwork and cooperation.


What you'll do:

As a Relationship Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building relationships both internally and externally to grow new business. You will be responsible for supporting or leading the origination, development, due diligence, approval, and implementation of corporate finance transactions. Your role will also involve developing solutions that display a deep understanding of our clients and their industries. You will proactively manage the forward business pipeline while arranging and executing credit products for corporate transactions. Additionally, you will grow and manage a loan portfolio with an eye towards optimal composition, geography, industry, and risk diversification. Recognising client and bank risks, you will implement appropriate risk management strategies.

  • Build and leverage internal and external networks to grow new business
  • Support or lead the origination, development, due diligence, approval and implementation of corporate finance transactions
  • Develop solutions that display deep understanding of our clients and their industries
  • Proactively manage forward business pipeline
  • Arrange and execute credit products for corporate transactions covering bilateral, club and syndicated facilities
  • Grow and manage a loan portfolio with a vision for optimal composition and geography, industry and risk diversification
  • Recognise client and Bank risks and implement appropriate risk management strategies


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Relationship Manager position will bring a wealth of experience from previous roles. You should hold a tertiary degree in a relevant area along with at least five years of professional experience within Australia. A demonstrated track record in renewable energy, transport, utilities, or PPPs would be highly advantageous. Strong documentation skills are essential as well as proficiency in financial modelling. Excellent risk analysis skills are required along with legal acumen. Above all else, excellent communication skills are vital as this role involves dealing with multiple stakeholders.

  • Tertiary degree in a relevant area
  • 5 or more years of relevant professional experience in Australia
  • Demonstrated track record in renewable, transport , utilities and PPPs preferred
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Proficient in financial modelling
  • Excellent risk analysis skills

  • Excellent communication skills
