Associate Director, Structured Finance

Our client is a global leader in financial information services with operations in more than 30 countries. They are currently seeking an Associate Director for their Structured Finance and Covered Bonds team based out of Sydney. This role offers the opportunity to join an experienced team, gain exposure to a majority of issuers in the market, and work on a variety of asset classes.

What you'll do:
As an Associate Director in Structured Finance, you will play a pivotal role in rating new transactions, exploring new asset classes and issuers. You will ensure all structured finance transactions and CvB programmes are reviewed regularly while performing data analysis using Excel. Your ability to prepare analytical documentation and present it effectively will be crucial. You will also manage queries from various stakeholders, participate in review meetings, and work on adhoc projects.

  • Rating new transactions, including exploring new asset classes and issuers
  • Ensuring all structured finance transactions and CvB programmes are reviewed on a continuous 12-month schedule
  • Performing data analysis using Excel and executing models generated by Fitch
  • Preparing analytical documentation based on templates provided by Fitch
  • Presenting analytical documentation and communicating comments and opinions effectively in committee meetings
  • Preparing press releases based on Fitch templates
  • Providing timely market/transaction performance commentary
  • Managing queries from issuers, bankers, investors – representing Fitch effectively with external transaction parties
  • Participating in originator/servicer review meetings
  • Working on adhoc projects/reporting and authoring reports

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Associate Director position brings a strong background in structured finance from an issuer, arranger or trustee. You have excellent Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis. Your ability to prepare comprehensive documentation to support your proposals is commendable. You are known for your strong time management skills and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Undergraduate degree in a finance related discipline
  • A minimum of 3-5 years structured finance experience from an issuer, arranger or trustee (preference in a credit or analytical related role)
  • Experience working with Excel to manipulate, transform and perform calculations to generate analytical results
  • Ability to prepare documentation to support proposals/recommendations
  • Strong time management skills and high level of attention to detail
