Our client, a globally recognised leader in credit ratings and financial information services, is seeking an Analyst to join their Structured Finance team based in Sydney. What you'll do:
As an Analyst in Structured Finance, you will play a pivotal role in rating new transactions and exploring new asset classes and issuers. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that all structured finance transactions are reviewed regularly, performing data analysis using Excel, preparing analytical documentation, and presenting your findings effectively. You will also manage queries from various stakeholders, participate in review meetings, and work on ad-hoc projects. This role offers a unique blend of responsibilities that will allow you to utilise your skills while contributing significantly to the company's success.

  • Rating new transactions, including exploring new asset classes and issuers
  • Ensuring all structured finance transactions are reviewed on a continuous 12-month schedule
  • Performing data analysis using Excel and executing models
  • Preparing analytical documentation based on templates
  • Presenting analytical documentation and communicating comments and opinions effectively in committee meetings
  • Preparing press releases based on templates
  • Providing timely market/transaction performance commentary
  • Managing queries from issuers, bankers, investors and representing the company effectively with external transaction parties
  • Participating in originator/servicer review meetings
  • Working on ad-hoc projects/reporting and authoring reports

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Analyst in Structured Finance position brings a wealth of experience in structured finance from an issuer, arranger or trustee. You should have strong proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and analysis. Your ability to prepare comprehensive documentation to support your proposals and recommendations will be crucial in this role. Additionally, your strong time management skills and high attention to detail will enable you to excel in this dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Undergraduate degree in a finance-related discipline
  • A minimum of 3-5 years structured finance experience from an issuer, arranger or trustee (preference in a credit or analytical related role)
  • Proficiency in Excel to manipulate, transform and perform calculations to generate analytical results
  • Ability to prepare documentation to support proposals/recommendations
  • Strong time management skills with high attention to detail
