Data Analytics Lead - Credit Risk

This role is an exciting opportunity for a data-savvy professional with a strong background in data analysis within credit risk or finance data. The successful candidate will be a key player in defining, transforming, utilising, and reporting data, fostering a data-oriented approach across teams.

What you'll do:

As a Technology Data Lead in the Credit Risk domain, your role will be pivotal in driving insights regarding the definition, transformation, utilisation, and reporting of data. You will act as a Data Subject Matter Expert (SME), possessing deep comprehension of data architectures. Your ability to effectively relay this information to other teams will foster a data-oriented approach across the organisation. You will have opportunities to utilise various methodologies such as Waterfall or Agile or through business process management.

-Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, examine, share, and confirm the data needs across projects within Credit Risk
-Standardise the discovery of data elements for projects and document them to avoid duplication across projects
-Extract data from various Credit Risk data repositories
-Analyse data outcomes to determine and report on the quality of the data
-Develop a detailed understanding of end-to-end dataflows
-Manage work across multiple streams of work and projects, interpreting and understanding the impact data elements have on each phase
-Understand and clearly articulate the role data elements play from origination through to delivery
-Work with the entire Credit Risk Technology team to develop appropriate requirements and interpret into end to end design and development

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Technology Data Lead role will bring a strong data analysis background, ideally within credit risk or finance data. You will have solid SQL skills and come from a financial services background. Your extensive hands-on experience in data analyst tasks such as data cleaning, data wrangling, analysis, visualisation and communication of insights will be crucial to your success in this role. Your ability to facilitate workshops involving participants from senior management to business users will be highly valued.

-Extensive hands-on experience in data analyst tasks such as data cleaning, data wrangling, analysis, visualisation and communication of insights
-Experience in identifying and clarifying business needs/opportunities/problems into technology solutions for process re-engineering or business transformation initiatives
-Facilitation skills for workshops involving participants from senior management to business users
-Strong experience using SQL for data extract and profiling, lineage mapping and gapping analysis
-Proven experience with designing and implementing methodologies
-Background in financial services/banking sector
-Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
-Experience working in an Agile project delivery environment and with tools that support this methodology
