What you'll do:

As a Director in Credit Risk within the construction sector, you will be at the forefront of assessing and analysing real estate transactions. Your role will involve leading due diligence, managing approval processes, and fostering stakeholder relationships.

  • Lead the sourcing and management of transactions, developing lending structures, and conducting thorough due diligence
  • Manage approval processes, documentation, and foster stakeholder relationships
  • Provide leadership, coaching and development opportunities for junior team members
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Represent the company in the building and construction industry, networking with key stakeholders
  • Contribute to the design, execution, and monitoring of a business plan


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Director - Credit Risk - Construction role brings extensive experience from commercial/corporate banking or a non-bank financial institution or real estate finance. With over 10 years in the field and 5 years directly assessing real estate finance transactions, you are proficient in risk assessment, financial modelling, and negotiation. Your excellent communication skills allow you to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences effectively. You possess strong organisational skills that enable you to thrive in high-pressure environments while maintaining a customer-centric focus.

10+ years of experience in commercial/corporate banking or a non-bank financial institution or real estate finance
5+ years direct experience assessing real estate construction transactions
Proficiency in risk assessment, financial modelling, and negotiation
Excellent communication skills with ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
Strong organisational skills with ability to thrive in high-pressure environments
Ability to drive business strategies, foster team growth, and deliver exceptional customer experiences
