What you'll do:
As a Manager in Corporate Lending, your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of our client's business. You will lead a high-performing team focused on increasing customer satisfaction through efficient business practices. Your expertise in risk management will be crucial in developing a risk-aware culture within your team. You will also play an integral part in managing deal origination, loan processing, and settlement in LoanIQ. Your ability to collaborate effectively across various lines of business will be key to your success in this role.
Develop a risk-aware culture within the team that includes a 'no surprises' approach.
Focus on CORE (Customer Outcomes & Risk Excellence) by managing issues impacting customers and business partners.
Actively contribute to the daily servicing requirements and suggest ways to improve service levels and operational efficiency.
Create a collaborative culture which clears the way to work effectively within the Lines of Business.
Manage the deal origination, loan, and settlement processing in LoanIQ.
Responsible for lending related queries and assisting to resolve reconciliation breaks.
Partner with Product, Credit Risk, Finance and Lending Service teams to ensure customer deliverables are met.
Conduct monthly 1:1’s with direct reports and implement development and succession plans for the team.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Manager - Corporate Lending position brings a wealth of banking operations experience, including significant time spent in leadership roles. Your corporate lending expertise will be invaluable as you navigate the complexities of this role. Experience with LoanIQ and Control IQ would be advantageous but is not essential. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to articulate complex concepts clearly to various stakeholders. A strategic thinker, you're always looking for ways to improve processes and drive efficiencies.
Minimum five years banking operations experience including leadership roles.
At least two years’ experience managing large teams.
Degree qualified preferred.
Corporate lending experience is essential.
Experience with LoanIQ and Control IQ preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strategic thinking abilities.
Continuous improvement experience.
