Senior Investment Associate

A Senior Associate position for a fund looking for individuals with strong modelling capabilities.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Associate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the investments team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in delivering optimal risk, revenue, and profit outcomes from each transaction. You will have the opportunity to work closely with Directors and AD's in marketing, securing and closing transactions across the debt and equity space. Your role will also involve ensuring compliance with credit policies, contributing to maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, managing deal information on internal systems, preparing research papers and submitting credit proposals.

• Assist in marketing, securing and closing complex equity and credit transactions
• Ensure all transactions comply with the mandate
• Contribute to the maintenance of positive relationships with sponsors/borrowers/advisors/legal counsels/funds/bank customers
• Liaise positively with senior management and other parts of the team.
• Manage the end to end process of debt and equity transactions across a broad range of sectors.
• Prepare or contribute to research papers including attending industry seminars and presentations
• Submission of credit proposals and analysis and investment papers

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Associate position brings a wealth of experience in either the debt or equity/investments side. They are looking for individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset paired with a strong foundation doing transactions in equity and debt. They should hold an undergraduate degree in Business/Commerce/Law from a leading university. They are proficient in Microsoft products and has strong financial modelling skills. They have a deep understanding of financial and economic markets and is capable of independent research and analysis. Their strong interpersonal and presentation skills make them an effective communicator. They possess an analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, enabling them to tackle complex challenges.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in debt or equity roles within a bank/fund.
• Undergraduate Business / Commerce / Law Degree from a leading university
• Proficiency in the full suite of core Microsoft products, strong in financial modelling
• Understanding of financial and economic markets
• Ability to engage in independent research & analysis of customers and markets
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
• Entrepreneurial & Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills

Strong Modelling skills are required.
