Job Summary/Introduction

Our client is seeking a Securitisation Associate Director for their Private Credit division. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team, working on evaluating and sourcing new transactions in the securitisation space.

Description

The successful candidate will have the ability to lead the execution side of the business and also be involved with sourcing transactions for the team. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, based in a modern Sydney CBD office.


What you'll do:

As a Securitisation Associate Director in our Private Credit division, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating new transactions within the structured finance space and executing them. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve analysing the financial health of corporations, assessing risk profiles, developing financial models, and focusing on creating and analysing asset-backed securities. You will also be expected to perform detailed cash flow projections, conduct scenario analyses, and assess the impact of different financial structures. Your collaborative mindset will be crucial as you liaise with various departments including trading, sales, and legal teams.

  • Analyse the financial health and performance of corporations
  • Assess risk profiles and develop financial models to support various transactions
  • Focus on creating and analysing asset-backed securities, and other structure instruments
  • Perform detailed cash flow projections, conduct scenario analyses, and assess the impact of different financial structures on the issuing entities
  • Run due diligence for credit transactions and prepare credit papers for approval by IC
  • Collaborate effectively with trading, sales, and legal teams


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Associate Director Securitisation role will bring a wealth of knowledge in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Mathematics. You will have a deep understanding of corporate financial statements and key ratios along with familiarity with loan structures, terms, structured finance products especially asset-backed securities. Your proficiency in analysing large data sets coupled with your ability to perform cash flow modelling for ABS transactions will be essential. Experience with financial modelling and scenario analysis is required along with strong attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also necessary for report writing and presentations.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Mathematics
  • Ideally 5-8 years experience within a Bank or Financial Institution working within securitisation.
  • Understanding of corporate financial statements and key ratios
  • Familiarity with loan structures, terms, structured finance products, particularly asset-backed securities
  • Knowledge of warehouse lending structures and processes
  • Proficiency in analysing large data sets and loan-level data
  • Ability to perform cash flow modelling for ABS transactions
  • Experience with financial modelling and scenario analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial calculations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and presentations
