What you'll do:

As a Credit Assessor, you will play a pivotal role in conducting credit assessments and approvals under your Delegated Loan Authority. Your primary responsibility will be supporting the Lending Manager and wider credit team in upholding the company's high credit standards and service quality. You will collaborate with the residential credit team to drive customer-focused outcomes while also assisting the Credit Quality Team in guiding applications through to settlement. Your keen eye for detail will enable you to identify process improvement opportunities, contributing significantly to agreed business strategies. Ensuring all loan applications meet the company's stringent credit criteria and risk appetite will be a key part of your role.

• Conduct credit assessment and approvals under Delegated Loan Authority (DLA)
• Support the Lending Manager and wider credit team in maintaining credit standards and service quality
• Work with the residential credit team to drive customer-focused outcomes
• Assist the Credit Quality Team to guide applications through to settlement
• Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to agreed business strategies
• Ensure all loan applications meet the company's credit criteria and risk appetite

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Credit Assessor position brings a wealth of experience in financial services, particularly in residential mortgage Credit assessment. With a minimum of 2 years' experience in residential credit, you are well-versed in mortgage loan management and servicing software. Your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, allow you to effectively liaise with various stakeholders. A thorough understanding of Financial Services legislation as it relates to residential lending is crucial for this role. Prior experience with home loan Delegated Lending Authority of at least $500K is essential.

• Strong knowledge in residential mortgage Credit assessment
• Minimum 2 years residential credit experience
• Experience with mortgage loan management and servicing software
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Understanding of Financial Services legislation as it relates to residential lending
• Prior home loan Delegated Lending Authority experience of at least $500K.
