An established lender in Sydney City is looking for a Business Banker/Senior Business Banker who has connections in South Sydney. This role suits someone passionate about supporting local businesses, building strong client relationships, and driving community prosperity. What you'll do:

  • Manage a diverse commercial portfolio with complex lending needs up to ~$15m aggregate exposure.

  • Build and maintain strong networks across local industries, business groups, and community organisations.

  • Deliver tailored, needs-based financial solutions through high-quality client conversations.

  • Strengthen and grow the customer base through targeted business development and proactive engagement.

  • Partner closely with regional leaders, branch teams, and credit counterparts to ensure seamless service.

  • Coach and support branch and business teams to drive consistent delivery and capability uplift.

  • Stay current on market trends, products, cash flows, and business banking developments.

  • Champion community-focused, ethical banking practices.

What you bring:

  • Strong business lending experience and proven capability managing commercial portfolios.

  • Solid understanding of credit risk and the ability to interpret financial statements with confidence.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust quickly.

  • A collaborative approach and willingness to share knowledge across teams.

  • A creative, solutions-focused mindset with a genuine interest in supporting local businesses.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business, finance, or a related field.

  • Current driver licence for client and community visits.
