What you'll do:

• Manage a diverse portfolio of commercial clients with lending needs up to ~$15m, delivering tailored, growth-focused financial solutions.

• Build strong networks within Canberra’s business community, industry associations, and local organisations.

• Identify and convert new business opportunities while maintaining high service standards for existing clients.

• Conduct insightful, needs-based customer conversations to design holistic financial strategies.

• Collaborate closely with regional leaders, product specialists, and credit teams to ensure efficient and effective outcomes.

• Coach and support branch and frontline colleagues to strengthen business banking capability across the ACT region.

• Stay informed on local industry trends, market conditions, and product developments to provide relevant, informed advice.

• Champion responsible, ethical banking practices and act as a trusted advisor for businesses across the region.

What you bring:

• Experience in business or commercial banking, ideally managing SME or mid-market clients.

• Strong business lending skills, including structuring and assessing complex transactions.

• Sound knowledge of credit risk and financial analysis.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building abilities.

• A customer-first approach with creativity in developing tailored solutions.

• Relevant tertiary qualification in business, finance, or a related field.

• Current driver licence for client and community engagement across Canberra.
