BDM - Business Banker
This role is ideal for someone who has strong commercial relationships, can identify strategic opportunities, and helps businesses access financial solutions. You’ll work closely with SMEs and mid-market clients, supporting them with tailored finance options designed to help them scale with confidence.
What you'll do:

Build and manage relationships with SMEs, mid-market companies, and growth-focused businesses across NSW.

Maintain a strong pipeline by proactively identifying clients who would benefit from specialised finance solutions.

Provide insights on lending products—such as loans, guarantees, and risk-mitigation tools—to help clients execute on new opportunities.

Collaborate with industry associations, banks, advisers, and commercial partners to broaden market reach and drive engagement.

Stay informed on market trends, commercial challenges, and emerging business opportunities.

Conduct high-value client meetings to understand business needs and design tailored financial pathways.

Manage the full business development lifecycle, from prospecting to structuring opportunities and progressing internal approvals.

Represent the organisation at events, industry forums, and briefings to enhance visibility and build relationships.

Promote financing practices that focus on commercially sound and sustainable outcomes.
What you bring:

Experience in business development, commercial finance, trade finance, or corporate banking.

Strong understanding of lending fundamentals and the ability to assess commercial opportunities.

Excellent communication and strong relationships engaging founders, SMEs, and senior executives.

A strategic, opportunity-driven mindset with the ability to guide clients through complex processes.

Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external industry networks.

Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
