What you'll do:
As an Operations Analyst based in Sydney, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Japanese client operations by acting as the primary liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders. - Act as the key point of contact between internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and operational support for Japanese client activities.
- Liaise regularly with the Securities Investment Trust in Japan to facilitate smooth client operations and maintain strong business relationships.
- Respond promptly and accurately to Japanese due diligence questionnaires as well as client queries, demonstrating sensitivity to cultural nuances and business expectations.
- Communicate trading requirements internally during Japan public holidays, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of market-specific considerations and deadlines.
- Monitor cash entries and account balances diligently, maintaining accuracy and transparency for both internal teams and external clients throughout all transactions.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly reports on Japanese security holdings for clients, ensuring clarity, timeliness, and precision in all communications.
- Review daily trade confirmation details meticulously to guarantee that deliveries align precisely with clients’ cut-off times and compliance standards.
- Request client approvals for tradable securities efficiently, facilitating smooth transaction processes while upholding regulatory requirements.
- Send daily trade details (numbers) to clients reliably, maintaining open lines of communication and fostering trust through dependable service.
- Drive process improvements by identifying opportunities for greater efficiency in operational workflows that benefit both clients and colleagues alike.
What you bring:
Your background as an Operations Analyst should include hands-on experience within asset management or similar financial services environments where you have supported middle-office functions. Fluency in Japanese is essential—not only for handling direct client interactions but also for navigating documentation requirements unique to the market. - Strong product knowledge of public markets including infrastructure funds and global REIT asset classes so you can add value from day one.
