Senior Credit Analyst - Commercial Lending/Business Lending

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed credit analysis on complex commercial lending applications (typically up to $5 million)
• Assess risk profiles and validate financial and operational assumptions
• Lead credit discussions with borrowers to clarify key information and risk considerations
• Prepare clear and well-structured credit papers for internal approval forums
• Review and provide feedback on junior analysts’ work to maintain high-quality standards
• Mentor and support junior team members to aid their development
• Partner closely with sales teams on deal structuring and submission quality
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of credit processes and best practices

About You

• Proven experience in commercial credit analysis within a bank or non-bank lender
• Strong deal assessment capability across SME or mid-market transactions
• Experience operating with meaningful credit delegation (preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior team members
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical capability
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborative mindset with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
