This role offers an exciting opportunity to execute top-notch claims management, including determining policy coverage, investigating, evaluating and negotiating claims, and engaging with specialist suppliers and stakeholders. The successful candidate will be part of a fast-paced, inclusive team that values technical expertise and customer focus.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Claims Officer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering superior claims service to customers in the Casualty and Specialty classes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve executing top-notch claims management strategies, maintaining strong client relationships, providing valuable feedback on claims activity, and offering technical expertise to less experienced colleagues. Your commitment to continuous improvement, coupled with your ability to identify non-compliant issues swiftly, will ensure the smooth running of our operations.

Support the delivery of the business plan and operation objectives for the business unit
Maintain current knowledge of insurance guidelines and policy changes and modifications
Identify any issues that are non-compliant with regards to policy and procedures and resolve or escalate where required
Maintain good client relationships with all relevant stakeholders
Provide information and feedback on claims activity and developing trends to underwriters/risk assessors
Provide technical expertise and mentoring to assist the development of less experienced Claims Officers


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Claims Officer position brings a wealth of experience in the insurance industry, particularly in claims management. Your broad knowledge of insurance industry processes, combined with your strong analytical and negotiation skills, will enable you to excel in this role. You have excellent organisational abilities and communication skills that allow you to maintain good relationships with all relevant stakeholders. Your competence in using relevant Claims Systems is crucial for this role.

Broad knowledge of insurance industry and claims processes
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Good organisational and written/verbal communication skills
At least 3 years’ experience in insurance and at least one year spent in claims management
Competent in relevant Claims Systems

Experience with Marine claims
