Senior Portfolio Analyst

Due to continued growth within the team and the Melbourne office our client, a national outsourced fund administrator, is looking for an experienced Portfolio Analyst. The organisations cor business is to provide fund administration and securities registration to a large portfolio of boutique fund managers.

You will provide a range of portfolio administration functions including; valuations, corporate actions, cash forecasting, performance reporting, trade settlement management, cash movements, broker and custodian liaison and relationship management.

You will be responsible for:

• Timely delivery of various reporting requirements to fund managers
• post trade compliance monitoring
• preparation of periodic reports to fund managers, their clients, and asset consultants
• Build and maintain effective relationships with wholesale and retail clients
• Regular reviews of Investment Operation processes and procedures with a view to implementing efficiency and accuracy improvements
• Involvement in project work to improve service quality
• GAV production and value
• Actively on-board new clients and ensure the effective and timely implementation of client change requests
• train, mentor and coach junior members of the team

To be successful, you will have

• 3-4 years registry experience in a custody, fund administrator or fund manager environment or fund manager within a client focused environment
• tertiary degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting or Commerce
• Strong understanding of investment products, markets and securities
• System knowledge of IRESS and Omgeo would be highly regarded
• Attention to detail - efficiency and accuracy of daily tasks and high personal standards in all work areas
• Team orientation
