The Senior Consultant is responsible for developing the annual strategic and tactical segment marketing plan including volume and profit targets, developing mechanisms for collation of sales performance measures geared to delivering profit and product penetration objectives.
The successful candidate will be well experienced in Wealth product management experience, together with a strong strategy background. A deep understanding of the retail advice and superannuation market is essential.
We are looking for a strong track record in execution and driving transformative change, combined with professional senior stakeholder engagement and skills of influencing others with a proven ability to take lead on strategic initiatives.
As part of the role, you will:
Develop annual strategic and tactical segment marketing plan
Understand customer behaviours/ characteristics upon which income growth strategies can be built
Develop clear understanding of price sensitivity within the products and segments
Manage and monitor specific competitive and aggressive sales/ income campaigns and initiatives
Develop and manage sales calendar, monthly sales packs, merchandising standards and lead generation plans
Coordinate and control the planning, specification and analysis of marketing information requests
Manage and coordinate the commissioning and control of external agencies for brand, product and customer research
Control budgets, approve methodology utilised and act as liaison point for suppliers and the organisation
Ensure full product/ systems testing prior to launch and provide input to pricing models
Develop and manage the product portfolio for the segment and implement strategic and tactical marketing programs
Project manage the development, implementation and evaluation of product requirements identified to support segment strategies
Develop and agree product development template, business cases etc, identifying resources and processes required to deliver new/enhanced products
Analyse key customer/competitor pricing and distribution information trends
Coordinate external communications, including advertising, PR and sponsorship activities
The ideal candidate would have:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant subject and post graduate qualifications are highly desireable
- Extensive Wealth product management background, combined with significant strategy experience
- Deep understanding of the retail and advisor market
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability manage a diverse portfolio and multiple priorities within time constraints
