Head of Institutional Capital & Investor Relations

Our client is a reputable and fast growing private markets fund manager, with 10+ years of exceptional performance. The firm specialises in providing innovative investment solutions across various private market strategies, including Real Estate, Credit, and Private Equity. The firm has experienced phenomenal growth over the past 10 years and has recently secured a major institutional mandate. Given the firms appetite for growth, they are now looking to appoint a Head of Institutional Capital and Investor Relations.



This pivotal role will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to attract and retain institutional capital, fostering strong relationships with both onshore and offshore investors. The role will also be accountable for all investor relations across their listed products. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, either within the institutional or wholesale channel, as well as significant understanding of private markets products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to attract institutional capital from a diverse range of investors, including sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, and superannuation funds
  • Lead Investor Relations for the firms listed products, including the organisation and hosting of investor meetings, roadshows, and events to showcase the firms capabilities and foster investor relationships.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential investors, ensuring a high level of investor satisfaction and engagement.
  • Lead the creation and delivery of compelling presentations, marketing materials, and due diligence documents to effectively communicate the firms investment strategies and performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including investment, finance, and legal, to ensure seamless communication and alignment on investor-related matters.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on fundraising progress, investor feedback, and market insights.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in distribution, fundraising, investor relations, or a related role within the funds management sector
  • Demonstrated success in raising capital and managing investor relationships.
  • Strong understanding of private market (Real Estate & Credit) investment strategies and the ability to articulate complex concepts to sophisticated investors.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with a collaborative and results-oriented approach.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
