Associate - Indirect Assets

This role will be working with indirect assets for the investment management arm of the global organisation.

The Associate will be working alongside the head of APAC and will be responsible for providing financial, market, and asset analysis for their indirect real estate investment fund. This role supports the acquisition, management, and disposition of properties, helping to optimise the portfolio’s performance and achieve investment objectives. .



Key Responsibilities:

• Support sourcing and monitoring of fund, club, joint venture, and programmatic venture investment opportunities; maintain regular contact with managers/operating partners
• Assist in underwriting and due diligence of investment opportunities, including market research, financial analysis, manager due diligence, vehicle legal and tax structuring, financing review, and coordination with external advisers for asset, legal, and tax due diligence
• Contribute to preparing materials for the investment process, including preliminary investment recommendations, Investment Committee Recommendations, and Post-Investment Committee Due Diligence Reports
• Participate in presenting investment opportunities to the Indirect Global Investment Team and Investment Committee
• Oversee asset management activities, including monitoring managers, analyzing voting matters, and ensuring compliance with the Indirect Investment Guidelines
• Support the investment disposition process
• Coordinate and produce materials for the Investment Oversight Committee, such as semi-annual performance reforecasts and annual investment review notes, including hold/sell analysis
• Collaborate with the Portfolio Management team to stay aligned with client requirements and support quarterly reporting and ad-hoc requests.

Qualifications:

• 5-10 years experience.
• Indirect asset experience would be a plus.
• The candidate will come from super, or a multi manager firm.
• Experience and understanding of a broad range of real estate sectors.
• Strong financial modelling skills with advanced competency in Microsoft Excel.
