Head of Investments

This is a senior leadership role for an individual to build out a private credit fund for a strong property business. This role requires the individual to lead private credit origination, structuring, execution, and strategy across commercial real estate and property developers.

Head of Investment/Origination – Private Credit (Property)

Overview

The Head of Investment/Origination will be the primary driver of deal flow, building deep relationships with developers, sponsors and intermediaries, while overseeing transactions from origination through to execution and portfolio management. This role combines hands-on origination with strategic leadership and investment oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Origination & Capital Deployment

• Lead origination of private credit opportunities across commercial property and development-led transactions

• Build and maintain senior relationships with property developers, sponsors, brokers, advisors and JV partners

• Drive proprietary and off-market opportunities aligned with the fund’s risk and return objectives

• Act as a trusted capital partner to borrowers and sponsors

Investment Structuring & Execution

• Lead structuring, pricing and negotiation of private credit investments, including senior, stretch senior, mezzanine and whole-of-capital solutions

• Oversee due diligence, financial modelling, credit analysis and investment memoranda

• Present transactions to Investment Committee and manage approval processes

• Negotiate term sheets, facility agreements and security packages in conjunction with legal advisors

Portfolio Oversight & Risk Management

• Provide active oversight of the private credit portfolio, including covenant monitoring, asset performance and downside risk management

• Work closely with asset management and finance teams to manage ongoing exposures and outcomes

• Lead workouts, restructures or refinancings where required

Strategy & Leadership

• Help shape the private credit strategy and deployment pacing of the fund

• Identify new product opportunities and structures to support developers and commercial asset owners

• Build, lead and mentor a high-performing investment team

• Represent the fund with equity investors, JV partners and external stakeholders

About You

• Significant experience in private credit, real estate finance or property-focused investment roles

• Proven track record originating and executing property-backed credit transactions

• Strong, established network across property developers, brokers and advisors

• Deep understanding of commercial real estate, development risk and capital structuring

• Strong commercial judgement with disciplined credit underwriting capability

• Comfortable operating in a hands-on, entrepreneurial investment environment

• Experience working with equity sponsors or within an equity-backed platform highly regarded
