Director - Equity Strategy

An established global investment manager with a strong Australian presence is seeking a senior investment professional to represent and grow its fundamental equities capability across institutional and wholesale channels.

This senior role sits at the intersection of investments and distribution. It is suited to someone with deep equity market credibility who can articulate portfolio philosophy, positioning and performance at a senior level, while influencing product direction and commercial strategy.

You will act as a senior spokesperson for Australian and global equity strategies and play a key role in shaping franchise growth.

The Role

Strategic Representation & Client Engagement

• Act as the senior investment representative and proxy for Portfolio Managers across Australian and global equity strategies
  
• Lead investment updates, market outlook discussions and portfolio positioning conversations with institutional and wholesale clients
  
• Respond to complex consultant and client queries with clarity and authority
  
• Support major pitches, RFPs and investment due diligence processes
  

Franchise Growth & Commercial Positioning

• Drive positioning and messaging across the equities franchise
  
• Partner with Distribution, Product and Investment teams to refine value propositions
  
• Identify commercial opportunities and areas of business risk
  
• Contribute to product development initiatives and strategic enhancements
  

Internal Leadership & Collaboration

• Build strong relationships with Portfolio Managers, Research, Distribution and Marketing teams
  
• Deliver investment education internally to support sales effectiveness
  
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to best practice across the broader business
  

Thought Leadership

• Contribute to market commentary, fund insights and conference participation
  
• Enhance presentation materials and reporting standards
  
• Ensure messaging is consistent, compelling and aligned to client needs
  

Experience Required

• Significant experience in equities asset management, with strong fundamental investing literacy
  
• Proven experience representing investment strategies to institutional and/or wholesale clients
  
• Ability to translate investment capability into clear commercial outcomes
  
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  
• High attention to detail with strong PowerPoint and Excel capability
