Senior Analyst – Investment Performance and Analytics

This includes the calculation and analysis of investment performance and attributions for portfolios; the provision of investment data to support Regulatory obligations and seeking opportunities to use data and analytics to create value-add insights.

Key Result Areas:

• Assist in the data collation, data maintenance and data transformation processes.
• Manage the preparation, review and publication of investment data/ reports required by regulators (APRA/ASIC)
• Adjusting processes to meet new regulation, business changes or investment approaches.
• Co-ordinating activities to ensure timely deliverable of obligations.
• Assist the business to respond to Regulatory data queries.
• Monitor controls and procedures to mitigate risk.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders (External Reporting, IC, Finance) and external stakeholders on data requirements.
• Assist in the generation and analysis of performance returns and attributions across various asset classes and portfolios.
• Provide detailed analysis of the drivers of investment performance against benchmarks.

Experience/Knowledge:

• Greater than 5 years of professional experience in a technical investment discipline,
• Experience in using Excel (VBA) to analyse and manage large sets of data.
• Solid understanding of investment concepts.
• Ability to calculate performance attribution is a must.
• Ability to accurately and efficiently manipulate large amounts of data.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• High degree of initiative and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver to a high standard consistently.
• Good (written and verbal) communication.
• Strong people / relationship management skills. Demonstrate authority and influence.
