Our client is a leading Industry Superannuation organisation who's mission is to provide a better financial future for it's members. Due to some exciting growth they are currently looking for a Claims Assessor to commence on a permanent basis!
About the Role
This role reports to the Claims Team Leader with the primary responsibilities being to provide a specialised claims assessment service covering TL, TPD and IP claims.
Further responsibilities include:
- Provide assessment service for a portfolio of claims in behalf of the insurer in accordance with clearly defined assessment practices and procedures
- Manage the initial and ongoing assessment of complex new and existing TI, TPD and IP claims within the agreed service standards
- Undertake claim notification interviews as required
- Peer review cases of other team members as required
About You
Your strength is your ability to form and build strong relationships with a broad range of people and empathetic to their needs. You are known for your resilience in assessing and managing complex situations and you proactively drive your own development. You enjoy contributing to and supporting the broader team and thrive in fast paced environments. Furthermore you will:
- Have minimum 2 years experience in a case management or assessment based role
- Have a background in allied health, legal, insurance, superannuation, wealth or accounting
- Strong knowledge of life insurance - TI, TPD and IP would be highly regarded although not essential
- Strong Superannuation knowledge would be highly regarded but not essential
- Have excellent communication and customer service skills
