Operations Specialist

The client are a leading mortgage brokerage firm dedicated to providing exceptional service and customized financial solutions to their clients, and strive to make the mortgage process streamlined and stress-free. As an Operations Specialist you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our mortgage processing activities. You will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of loan processing and managing operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end loan processing lifecycle, from application submission to closing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Review loan applications and documentation for completeness and accuracy, and collaborate with clients to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Coordinate with underwriters, loan officers, and clients to facilitate timely loan closings and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of mortgage products, industry regulations, and compliance standards to provide accurate information and guidance to stakeholders.
  • Utilize mortgage software systems to track loan progress, generate reports, and maintain organized documentation.
  • Monitor operational metrics and performance indicators to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Support management in implementing operational policies and procedures to optimize workflow and enhance team productivity.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior staff members on loan processing best practices and company policies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mortgage operations or loan processing within a brokerage or financial institution.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage lending processes, regulations (including TRID), and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in mortgage processing software (such as Encompass or similar systems) and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
