Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Treasury Operations Officer for a contract role lasting up to one year. This position, based in the vibrant city of Sydney, offers an exciting opportunity to support daily processing and settlement of transactions within the Treasury Operations and Account Services department. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team, ensuring compliance with policy, procedures, and all relevant laws and regulations. * Contract role in Treasury Operations and Account Services * Based in Sydney * Opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment

What you'll do:

As a Treasury Operations Officer, your primary role will be to provide unwavering support in the daily processing and settlement of transactions relating to the Treasury Operations and Account Services department. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring accurate processing of various operations transactions, preparing customer correspondences, verifying incoming correspondences, as well as maintaining customer information. Your ability to liaise effectively with relationship managers will be crucial in ensuring the completeness and accuracy of information.

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of Operation’s transactions, including but not limited to Treasury settlements, remittances and clearing via SWIFT, Austraclear and RITS.
  • Prepare and dispatch customer correspondence and confirmations.
  • Verify and match incoming correspondence and confirmations.
  • File and archive documents.
  • Review, update and verify customer information in relation to account opening and maintenance.
  • Maintain and update customer information in GCIF.
  • Maintain and update scanned documentation in relation to customer accounts.
  • Liaise with relationship managers to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Treasury Operations Officer role brings a wealth of experience in Money Market, FX, and IRS settlements. Your sound understanding of account opening processes such as CDD and KYC documentation will be invaluable. Your good communication skills will enable you to liaise effectively with various stakeholders. Additionally, your familiarity with systems such as SWIFT, Austraclear, RITS MS Word, and Excel will be essential for success in this role.

  • 1 - 3 years experience in Money Market, FX and IRS settlements.
  • Sound understanding of account opening process, ie, CDD and KYC documentation.
  • Good communication skills.
  • System knowledge required: SWIFT / Austraclear / RITS MS Word and Excel.
