An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trade Support role within a dynamic Equities Operations team. This role is part of a wider global Corporate Operations Group that supports an equities trading business in the heart of Sydney. The team is responsible for handling post-trade life cycle controls for equities trading in global markets, including trade allocation, booking, settlement, funding, reconciliation, and client management. They are looking for someone who can bring their understanding of controls, policies and procedures within the Middle Office function to this role. * Part of a friendly and supportive team * Opportunity to work in close collaboration with other departments across Corporate Operations, Front Office, Finance and Risk * Chance to contribute ideas and drive outcomes

What you'll do:

As a Trade Support professional, your role will be pivotal within the Equities Middle Office team. You will be at the forefront of booking equity trades in the Australian and New Zealand markets while also performing internal front and middle office cash reconciliations. Your analytical skills will be put to use as you manage risk from the daily activity of the equities sales and trading desk. You will also have the responsibility of allocation, confirmation and control monitoring of exception trade flow. Your role will involve liaising with Settlements teams regarding failing trades and matching issues, as well as compiling reports for senior management. A key aspect of your role will be driving the internal objective principals of Automate-Simplify-Innovate.

  • Booking equity trades in the Australian and New Zealand markets
  • Performing internal front and middle office cash reconciliations
  • Analysing and managing risk from the daily activity of the equities sales and trading desk
  • Responsible for allocation, confirmation and control monitoring of exception trade flow
