Credit Analyst
A leading financial institution is seeking a Credit Analyst to join their thriving Sydney-based team, where your analytical expertise and commitment to quality will directly impact the lives of customers and the success of the business. This is an exceptional opportunity for you to immerse yourself in meaningful work that spans a broad range of responsibilities, from assessing complex loan applications to collaborating with internal and external partners.
- Assess and analyse loan applications for both PAYG and self-employed applicants across personal, investment, and business purposes, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Maintain high credit quality standards expected within the team by thoroughly reviewing documentation and identifying potential risks or inconsistencies in applications.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by proactively engaging with internal stakeholders, brokers, planners, and external partners to discuss assessments or request additional information as needed.
- Offer solutions when loan applications do not meet policy requirements, demonstrating empathy and problem-solving skills to support customers’ needs wherever possible.
- Ensure strict adherence to organisational behaviours and values in every interaction, upholding integrity and respect at all times.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across various departments to share knowledge, resolve issues efficiently, and contribute positively to team outcomes.
- Utilise advanced PC literacy skills—including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), Outlook, and NTBS—to manage workflow effectively and maintain accurate records.
- Work independently on assigned cases while also contributing as an effective member of the wider lending assessment team.
- Support ongoing improvement initiatives by providing feedback on processes and participating in training or development sessions as required.
- Consistently deliver work within agreed timeframes while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
