You will be joining a leading Asian Bank as a Risk Manager within a dynamic and growing team with a strong focus on development and progression.

About the role:

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead liquidity and market risk frameworks for the Sydney Office, ensuring compliance with Australian Prudential Regulation Authority standards (APS 210, APS 117, CPS 230).
  • Oversee liquidity risk management including cash flow monitoring, LCR/HQLA reporting, stress testing, funding optimisation, and contingency planning.
  • Manage market risk exposures (IRRBB, interest rate and FX risk), including hedging, limit monitoring, and senior management reporting.
  • Support broader financial risk oversight through credit portfolio monitoring, stress testing, and risk appetite management.
  • Ensure accurate regulatory reporting, maintain robust documentation, engage with APRA, and drive continuous improvement of risk frameworks and culture.

About the you:

You are:

  • 5–7 years’ liquidity and market risk experience in banking, with strong Basel III and stress testing knowledge.
  • Solid understanding of Australian Prudential Regulation Authority standards (APS 210, APS 117, CPS 230) and broader regulatory framework including Australian Securities and Investments Commission and Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre.
  • Experience in risk framework development, regulatory reporting, and supervisory engagement (international banking exposure advantageous).
  • Strong analytical and technical skills (advanced Excel; SQL/Python/R beneficial).
  • Effective leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
  • Mandarin language skills.
