What you'll do:
As a Corporate Trust Manager based in Sydney’s Governor Macquarie Tower location, you will be entrusted with overseeing the operational excellence of multiple funds. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around building strong stakeholder relationships—both internally across legal, compliance, finance teams—and externally with investment managers, auditors, registrars and more. You will be instrumental in ensuring regulatory obligations are met through diligent reporting of incidents or breaches while facilitating seamless onboarding for new funds. By mentoring junior colleagues and participating in internal projects or business development initiatives when required, you’ll help foster an inclusive workplace culture. Your attention to detail will shine as you review fund documents, prepare financial reports for board approval, coordinate audits and maintain accurate records. Success in this role means consistently meeting deadlines for fund transactions and reporting while actively contributing to a positive team environment through open communication and knowledge sharing.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders including fund unitholders, investment managers, trustee company boards, legal, risk and compliance teams, fund registrars, administrators, custodians, external lawyers, auditors, and finance teams to ensure all aspects of fund operations are handled efficiently and compliantly.
- Work closely with fund auditors and administrators to ensure audited accounts are completed within relevant deadlines while maintaining clear communication throughout the process.
- Ensure timely completion of Tickit Tasks and report all incidents and breaches to risk and compliance in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist with onboarding new funds by reviewing key documents such as IMAs, constitutions, offer documents, application forms, and updating internal registers.
- Train and mentor junior team members by providing guidance on daily tasks and supporting their professional development within the team.
- Support internal projects as required by collaborating effectively with colleagues across different departments to achieve project goals.
- Escalate issues identified by clients, trustees or team members to senior management promptly to facilitate pragmatic solutions.
- Attend investment manager requests within agreed timelines while preparing payment request forms (PRFs) and ensuring unit prices are reviewed before release.
- Assist with preparation of board papers, memos, promotional materials, annual due diligence visits of key service providers, document execution requests, maintenance of execution registers, termination and winding up of funds as needed.
- Coordinate stakeholders involved in audit processes; ensure annual and half-year financial reports are lodged on time; assist with compliance plan audit requests; manage risks associated with your role; promote diversity and inclusion; participate in mandatory training sessions; contribute to business development activities.
