Solution Architect

Our client is seeking a Solution Architect to join their dynamic and innovative team. This role offers the opportunity to work with one of Australia's largest profit-for-members funds, serving over 1.1 million members. The successful candidate will have the chance to shape the future of superannuation, retirement advice, and member services through cutting-edge technology solutions.

As a Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in understanding and translating the needs of our business and members. Your expertise will guide technology investment decisions, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s technology standards, strategy, and overarching business strategy. You will be responsible for producing comprehensive Solution Architecture Documents, conducting impact analyses, and translating specific business requirements into system designs. Your ability to analyse costs of new technologies or enhancements will be crucial in making recommendations on delivery options.

• Translate business and user requirements into technical solution designs
• Contribute to the strategic direction of technology investments
• Ensure technical integrity and cost-effectiveness of designed solutions
• Produce Solution Architecture Documents capturing various views and system behaviours
• Analyse costs of new technologies or enhancements and make recommendations on delivery options
• Communicate progress and status for architecture deliverables to stakeholders

What you bring:

The ideal Solution Architect brings a wealth of experience in IT, preferably in Architecture roles within financial services. You possess a tertiary education in Computer Science or Information Systems or an equivalent field. Your experience spans working in both Agile and Waterfall environments. You have a deep understanding of architectural frameworks and methodologies. Your technical proficiency extends across a broad range of technology areas including microservices, API Design, cloud application platforms among others. Your excellent communication skills coupled with your strong stakeholder management abilities set you apart.

• Tertiary education in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
• Experience working in Agile and Waterfall environments
• Knowledge of architectural frameworks and methodologies
• Technical proficiency across a broad range of technology areas such as microservices, API Design, cloud application platforms etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong stakeholder management skills
