Customer Service Officer

A leading regulatory organisation in Brisbane CBD is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Officer to join their supportive Contact Centre team. This role offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact by assisting clients with interpreting legislation and providing first-point fulfilment of essential services.

What you'll do:

  • Provide accurate information, advice, and service to customers regarding building-related matters including legislation, policies, procedures, and products.
  • Interpret complex queries related to builder and contractor licensing applications, home warranty schemes, contractor compliance issues, building dispute management, and general enquiries.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of organisational information and services through regular quality assurance reviews and participation in training sessions.
  • Promote organisational initiatives by participating in marketing activities, educational events, community awareness sessions, and other outreach programmes.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal staff members and external clients while demonstrating resilience when engaging with challenging situations.

What you bring:

  • Demonstrated experience applying legislation and policy standards within a customer service environment to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Proficiency in processing information using contact centre technology alongside multiple applications and system databases for efficient workflow management.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team setting by adopting a flexible attitude towards change engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication skills with proven capability in delivering empathetic responses that foster positive relationships with customers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills enabling you to connect with diverse individuals while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
