Our client is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Credit Assessor to play a pivotal role in supporting their mortgage business. In this role, you'll provide support in assessing loan applications, clarifying requirements, and ensuring compliance with credit policies.

  • Melbourne's CBD office location.
  • Be on site for the first few months of the 6-7 month temporary contract.
  • Follow a rotating roster from Monday to Friday.
  • Maintain a full-time position.

What you'll do:

  • Thoroughly review credit applications to ensure the accuracy and completeness of information provided by applicants.
  • Support credit analysis process by gathering and organising financial information, credit reports, and other relevant documents required for evaluation.
  • Conduct diligent cross-checking of all documents provided, paying close attention to detail to identify any discrepancies or inconsistencies.
  • Initiate contact with customers via phone to request additional documentation or clarification if necessary, ensuring all required information is obtained for a comprehensive assessment.
  • Maintain accurate and organised records of all communication and documentation related to credit applications, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

What you bring:

  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
  • Ability to assess loan applications and identify potential risks
  • Meticulous attention to detail in your work
  • Excellent communication skills for building relationships and effective communication with stakeholders
  • Understanding of home loan products (preferred)
  • Previous experience in assessing loan applications or banking (preferred)
