On-hire Labour Agreement – Subclass 457 visa
Robert Walters has been granted an On-hire Labour Agreement by the Australian Department of Immigration and Boarder Protection (DIBP) that permits us to sponsor overseas skilled workers on the Subclass 457 visa and on-hire them to Australian businesses.
This alleviates the need for an organisation to apply for and obtain Standard Business Sponsor status. As a result, this means we can search the broadest global pool of skilled professionals to fill any skill shortages in Australia.
Robert Walters is able to place workers with skills in professions including but not limited to the following:
- Financial services
- Human Resources
- Information Technology
- Management Consulting
- Program Administration
Under this arrangement, Robert Walters engages the overseas skilled worker and is responsible for payroll, monitoring and compliance requirements. The worker will be an on-hire temporary worker of Robert Walters but still reports to the Australian organisation.
Standard Business Sponsorship program
Commonly known as the Standard Business Sponsorship program, it is implemented by the DIBP to enable organisations to directly sponsor expatriate employees to work in Australia.
For the approval of a Standard Business Sponsorship under the current legislation, the DIBP requests evidence that the Australian business is lawfully and actively operating in Australia and meets prescribed benchmarks for the training of Australian citizens and permanent residents.
The Standard Business Sponsorship application, on approval, is valid for a period of five years.
