Established in 2001, IBN Corporation is the trustee of the IBN Charitable Foundation, committed to improving the
lives of the Yinhawangka, Banyjima, and Nyiyaparli people.

Based in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, with offices in South Hedland, Tom Price, and Karratha, IBN
provides essential programs and services to members and the wider community. Through its initiatives, IBN
reaches thousands of people in the Pilbara region, offering support to both IBN members and non-members.

A Snapshot of the Opportunity

IBN Corporation is seeking an Independent Director to join its Board. This role requires a seasoned financial leader
who will provide strategic guidance, ensure effective corporate governance, and oversee financial management.
The Independent Director will play a crucial part in supporting IBN’s mission and ensuring the organisation
remains financially robust and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

As an Independent Director, you will:

• Provide independent oversight and strategic guidance to the Board and Senior Management.
• Ensure compliance with all financial, legal, and regulatory frameworks.
• Promote and uphold principles of good governance, including chairing the Audit and Risk Committee.
• Attend all Board and Committee meetings.
• Safeguard the financial stability of the organisation and guide financial management practices.

Background & Experience

To be successful, you will bring:

• Extensive experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within a community -focused organisation.
• A strong academic background, with an accountancy qualification.
• Proven financial leadership skills, with experience in accounting and finance.
• A passion for supporting people-based non-profits (experience in this field is highly advantageous).
• It is essential that you have completed the AICD Company Director Course and are a current Member of AICD.
• Previous Board experience, including as a non-executive or independent director, is advantageous but not required
