Our client is seeking a highly skilled Budget Manager to join their dynamic team. What you'll do:
As a Budget Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include leading the transition of finance reporting from being largely excel-based to a modern, systemised solution. You will also manage the department's cash management and forecasting function, providing daily cash forecasts and developing strategies for managing cash flow throughout the department. Your expertise will be crucial in contributing to the annual State budget process, including the preparation of financial information for strategic and operational submissions.
• Provide leadership, direction, and advice on complex management reporting issues
• Drive the implementation of multi-year budgeting, forecasting and reporting
• Contribute to the annual State budget process including strategic and operational submissions
• Oversee daily cash forecasts and develop strategies for managing cash flow
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards
• Provide mentoring and capability uplift to 5 direct reports
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Budget Manager role will bring a wealth of experience in financial planning and analysis. You will have proven skills in critical thinking, organising work priorities, building productive relationships, embracing innovation, and demonstrating accountability. A degree or equivalent in accounting, commerce or business administration is highly desirable, as is professional membership of CPA Australia or an equivalent body. Your commitment to delivering customer-focused outcomes will set you apart.
