EL1 Travel Cell Lead

Our client, a large Federal Government organisation, is seeking an EL1 Travel Cell Lead to join their team. This role presents an opportunity to be part of a significant project that will have a substantial impact on the Australian community. The successful candidate will lead a team of staff undertaking time critical complex travel bookings to remote locations.

What you'll do:

As an EL1 Travel Cell Lead, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of a significant project. You'll be tasked with leading a team to ensure the delivery of logistical support for a large scale project.

• Lead a team of staff undertaking time critical complex travel bookings to remote locations.
• Works collaboratively with others to maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Undertake project activities and ensure that project tasks are delivered on time.
• Monitor team activities and ensure good governance, including quality assurance checking of travel itineraries against polling schedules, and prompt communication to travellers with their itinerary details
• Oversight of monitoring and reporting of the travel cell, including ensuring daily reporting to executive on travel booking progress
• Work closely with Whole of Australian Government travel partners, CTM, to ensure travel bookings are progressing and on track for delivery
• Take ownership and manage issues through to resolution. When required, escalate issues for guidance from more senior staff.
