Our client, a large federal government organisation based in Canberra, is seeking Security Administrators to join their team. An opportunity to be part of a significant project that will have a substantial impact on the Australian community. As a Security Administrator, you will provide administrative support relating to police checking and security clearances.
What you'll do:
As an APS3 Security Administrator your role will be to undertake work under direction, relating to police checking and security clearance processes for contractors and consultants, labour hires and employees.
• Assist in the day to day operational support to security team, including data entry and extraction in relation to the security clearance process.
• Prepare correspondence/reports on security matters as directed.
• Perform tasks / processes to contribute to an election project / deliverable, including providing sound and timely information, advice, analysis and reporting.
• Cultivate and maintain stakeholder relationships, including assisting in the resolution of stakeholder problems.
• Resolve issues with guidance from senior staff
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities that arise as directed.
What you bring:
• Proven ability to use Microsoft Office products. Specifically intermediate Excel skills.
• Knowledge and experience in successfully completing high volume of allocated tasks to a compliant standard while delivering results within competing time frames and priorities.
• Proven ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to build a productive working relationship and resolve issues.
• Demonstrated personal integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and policy parameters.
