Business Intelligence Specialist
Our client is seeking a specialist in Business Intelligence with skills and capabilities across the strategy, implementation and administration of tools including TABLEAU, PowerBI and Jira to support their operational agility and reporting capabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the Business Intelligence Specialist are as follows:
- Interpret business requirements for core reporting capability to support our client's use of TABLEAU, PowerBI and JIRA, with a focus on addressing key reporting needs and project configuration;
- Work with business as usual teams to develop a governance model for key BI products that align with the ITS operating model and key forums such as TAG and Information and Data Management sub-committees;
- Undertake data migration activities to support more meaningful and reliable analytics;
- Architect solutions to support enhanced management reporting that also considers longer term retention issues;
- Identify and extract relevant data to support various reporting tools aligned to our client's technology directions;
- Create, test and deliver solution updates, dashboards and/or reports covering the identified business requirements;
- Transition and document the capability delivered for effective handover to both business and ITS stakeholders;
- Present insights and recommendations for future development and sustainability of management reporting for the agency's data systems, and
- Identifying and recommending ways to leverage the platforms to maximise investment and maintain the currency of the platforms and working with relevant teams to implement changes and upgrades.

In carrying out these tasks the Business Intelligence Specialist will need the following:
Essential Skills & Experience
- Advanced experience implementing, governing and developing Business Intelligence Solutions;
- Stakeholder management capability, with experience partnering with senior leaders to understand business challenges;
- Strong expertise in designing and implementing solutions within PROTECTED environments;
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills & Experience
• A good understanding of how business intelligence systems work;
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and internal teams;
• Good collaboration and teamwork skills, particularly with other developers, data analysts and engineers.
