What you'll do:
As a Senior Consultant Injury Management based in Brisbane, you will be instrumental in guiding staff through the complexities of injury or illness recovery within a large public sector setting. Your day-to-day activities will involve working collaboratively with managers and external partners to deliver tailored rehabilitation plans that prioritise employee wellbeing. - Provide comprehensive case management services for ill or injured workers, ensuring each case is managed with empathy, professionalism, and adherence to relevant legislation.
- Facilitate effective rehabilitation and return to work strategies tailored to individual needs, promoting timely outcomes and supporting ongoing recovery.
- Collaborate closely with managers to develop reasonable adjustment plans that enable staff to remain at work or return safely after illness or injury.
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as insurers, medical practitioners, legal representatives, and occupational service providers to coordinate holistic support for injured employees.
- Support common law claim interactions by working alongside insurers or their representatives in consultation with senior colleagues.
- Review and update internal policies, procedures, and intranet content related to injury and illness management to ensure information remains current and accessible.
- Undertake projects aimed at improving service delivery and enhancing overall injury management outcomes across the organisation.
- Analyse complex issues related to injury management, identify emerging trends, and develop evidence-based solutions in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Present clear, concise reports and recommendations to senior leaders and other audiences as required, ensuring information is tailored appropriately.
- Champion initiatives that foster a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.
What you bring:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills allowing you to present complex information clearly to varied audiences including senior leaders.
