Senior Business Analyst - Newcastle

  • Government client based in Newcastle looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join a large program of work across multiple systems enhancements and integrations.
  • Day rate contract up until 30th June 2025 with the potential to extend, based in Newcastle with WFH flexibility.
  • Ideally relevant experience across systems, process, solution design, change management and handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in the enhancement and integration of multiple systems, process mapping, and solution design. Your expertise in systems will be crucial in streamlining our processes and driving impactful business solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify needs, design solutions, and ensure successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Systems Enhancements & Integrations: Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of enhancements and integrations for various systems. Ensure seamless integration and functionality across platforms.
  • Process Mapping: Develop and maintain comprehensive process maps that document current processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose improvements. Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and validate solutions.
  • Solution Design: Design and propose robust solutions that address business needs and align with strategic goals. Prepare detailed documentation, including requirements specifications, functional designs, and test plans.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs, gather requirements, and manage expectations. Provide clear communication and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinate with project managers, developers, and other team members to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on systems enhancements, integrations, and process improvement.
  • Proven expertise in systems with hands-on experience in systems integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to map processes, design solutions, and manage complex projects effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred.
