Solution Architect

Robert Walters are delighted to present a 12 month contract Opportunity for a highly experienced Solution Architect. You will need a proven record of delivering multiple data focused solutions to be successful with your application.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
• The candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in producing Solution Architecture designs for medium and large-sized business applications within Government .
• The ideal candidate should be able to model high-level business scenarios with technology components and users, identifying key data fields and entities when integrations are required.
• Experience with platform replacement of one or more core business or business supporting applications is also necessary.
• The Solution Architect should have experience developing draft quality architecture documents in a workshop-style session, producing system context or sequences in a format that technical and non-technical attendees can understand.
• Familiarity with REST and Event APIs and Design by contract principles, UML notation, Archimate or similar, and using lean tooling such as PlantUML, Archi, draw.io, Confluence, and JIRA is important.
• The Solution Architect should have experience working with technology and business stakeholders and supporting their respective standards, patterns, and strategies.
• The role requires reviewing architecture designs in a peer or governance format and providing feedback based on quality, risks, and alternative options.
• The ideal candidate should have experience with an application landscape of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, Vendor Hosted, On Prem, and partner applications and infrastructure.

Nice-to-Have Technical Skills and Experience:
• Experience with Service Layer architecture or reusable integration API development
• Experience with Managed Service Partners
• Knowledge of Azure Infrastructure, Compute, or PaaS
• Experience with Integration, MS365, App Dev, AD/AAD, IDAM, Windows, and Security would be helpful.
