Front End Developer

An exceptional opportunity awaits for a Front End Developer to join a transformative project within a respected public sector organisation in Brisbane. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in the creation of a greenfield web application that will have a meaningful impact on the community.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement responsive user interfaces using Next.js and React to deliver seamless experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.
• Utilise advanced Next.js features such as Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Static Site Generation (SSG), Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR), and API routes to optimise performance and reliability.
• Design dynamic routing structures and middleware to ensure robust application flows that meet complex business requirements.
• Deploy and manage applications on Azure App Services or Azure Static Web Apps while leveraging Azure CDN, Application Gateway, Monitor, and DevOps for CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate securely with RESTful APIs using modern tools like fetch or Axios while implementing authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, or Azure Active Directory.
• Collaborate closely with design teams to translate UI/UX principles into pixel-perfect interfaces using CSS frameworks like TailwindCSS, Bootstrap, or Styled Components.
• Employ state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or React Query to maintain efficient data flow throughout the application.
• Optimise build processes with tools like Webpack, Vite, or esbuild for high-performance deployments on cloud infrastructure.
• Write comprehensive test suites using Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress or Playwright for end-to-end testing; perform API contract testing with Pact.js and Mock Service Worker (MSW).
• Engage in backend development tasks by designing RESTful APIs in Spring Boot 3 and Java 21+, collaborating with cloud architects for resilient cloud deployments.

The ideal Candidate :

• Extensive hands-on experience developing full stack web applications with a strong focus on frontend technologies including Next.js and React.
• Proficiency in TypeScript for building maintainable codebases that scale across multiple platforms.
• Deep understanding of modern UI/UX principles combined with practical experience using CSS frameworks such as TailwindCSS or Bootstrap for responsive design.
• Demonstrated ability to deploy applications on Azure App Services or similar cloud environments while configuring CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps.
• Expertise integrating RESTful APIs securely using authentication protocols like OAuth2.0, JWTs or Azure Active Directory within enterprise environments.
• Solid background in backend development utilising Spring Boot 3 and Java 21+ for designing robust API endpoints supporting frontend-agnostic integrations.
• Familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux or React Query for handling complex data flows within large-scale applications.
• Experience writing automated tests using Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress or Playwright along with API contract testing tools like Pact.js.
• Strong version control skills using Git or equivalent systems for collaborative software development projects.
