A leading Federal Government organisation are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join a project team for an initial 6-month Discovery & Planning phase, with a potential 6-month delivery phase.
In this role, you will support a Secure Internet Gateway (SIG) project, with a strong focus on implementing enterprise-wide SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) technology. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external implementation partners to translate complex technical requirements into secure, scalable network outcomes.
You must have Baseline Security Clearance to be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities

Facilitate requirements discovery and translate technical requirements (security, network architecture, cloud integration) into clear outcomes aligned with organisational goals.

Collaborate across IT, Security, Network Operations, Compliance, Risk and business SMEs, producing clear artefacts to support decision-making.

Engage government stakeholders to ensure compliance with gateway security standards, regulations and security frameworks.

Manage relationships with external implementation partners to support successful SASE delivery.

Define acceptance criteria, traceability and support UAT to validate SASE functionality and integration.

Analyse data to identify risks, opportunities and solution options.

Plan and report on business analysis and QA activities, including scope, risk and compliance.

Develop process maps and documentation covering SASE workflows, incident response and IT change management.

Support change activities, including FAQs, training materials and communications for SASE rollout.
Experience Required
Essential
-
5–10 years’ experience as a Senior Business Analyst (government or highly regulated environments preferred).

Strong requirements engineering, process modelling (as-is/to-be), facilitation and stakeholder management skills.

Proven ability to translate technical requirements into actionable business outcomes.

Experience bridging business, process, people and IT requirements for network solutions.

Agile delivery experience and proficiency with requirements tools (e.g. Azure DevOps).

Strong communication, documentation and presentation skills.

Experience analysing data relevant to network monitoring and security.
Desirable
-
End-to-end delivery experience on IT or security projects, including UAT and change support.

Strong stakeholder management across internal teams and external vendors.

Experience working with government agencies or highly regulated environments.

Experience with enterprise-scale SASE implementations.

Knowledge of PSPF, ISM and Gateway Security Standards.

Experience running agile ceremonies and managing requirements boards.
