Our client, a large federal government organisation based in Canberra, is seeking APS5 Project Officers. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a significant project that will have a substantial impact on the Australian community. As a Project Officer, you will collaborate with colleagues across the country to support and guide event planning processes, focusing on user-centred design. You will play an instrumental role in the Branch Leadership Team, shaping a proactive and inquisitive culture within the Branch.

As an APS5 Project Officer, your role will be pivotal in supporting event planning processes with a focus on user-centred design. You will utilise evidence and best practice to create and maintain key resources, supporting legislative changes while upholding a commitment to continuous improvement. Your contribution to the Branch Leadership Team will be instrumental in ensuring our work maintains a strong strategic focus. You will help shape a proactive and inquisitive culture within the Branch.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across the country to support and guide event planning processes.

  • Support legislative change and uphold the commitment to continuous improvement.

What you bring:

As an APS5 Project Officer, you bring excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for various internal channels and audiences. You are highly organised, capable of contributing to multiple concurrent projects or activities. Your ability to develop, manage, and evaluate activities from both strategic high-level thinking and operational detailed-focused perspectives is crucial. Your proven ability to collaborate by building relationships within business areas across a geographically dispersed organisation is essential.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly organised with strong ability to contribute to various concurrent projects/activities.
  • Ability to develop, manage and evaluate activities applying both strategic, high-level thinking and operational, detailed focused perspectives.
  • Proven ability to collaborate by building and managing relationship within business areas across geographically dispersed organisation.
  • A strong commitment to working harmoniously within a team to achieve positive results and support the strategic direction.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic operational environment with prescriptive legislation.
