Our client, a large federal government organisation based in Canberra, is seeking Project Officers to join their team. An opportunity to be part of a significant project that will have a substantial impact on the Australian community. As a Project Officer, you will collaborate with colleagues across the country to support and guide event planning processes.

What you'll do:

As an APS3 Project Officer, your role is responsible for undertaking complex and/or sensitive work, under direction, utilising expertise across a range of activities. The role is responsible for nominations qualification checklist assurance processes and to assist in the delivery of Doctrine and Readiness outcomes and objectives.

  • Working in a highly collaborative manner, support the organisation and the Doctrine and Readiness team to deliver on its event objectives and milestones.
  • Make and communicate decisions using professional judgement, evaluating risks and seeking guidance and support when required.
  • Be a strong contributor to the positive team culture to ensure high quality outputs.
  • Develop and actively manage key internal relationships, including collaborating with key stakeholders to meet team objectives and goals.
  • Perform additional duties or assume responsibility of functions as directed from time to time.

  • Ability to follow directions and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Highly organised with ability to manage multiple activities.
  • Ability to identify problems and work to resolve them.
  • Strong commitment to upholding strict requirement for confidentiality.

  • Previous experience in proof reading and document management
