Our client, a large Federal Government organisation, is seeking dedicated APS6 Senior Project Officers to join their team in Canberra. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to be part of a significant project that will have a substantial impact on the Australian community. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the postal voting team and ensuring the enfranchisement of electors.

What you'll do:

As an APS6 Senior Project Officer, your role will be pivotal in supporting the postal voting team amidst an anticipated high volume of Postal Vote Applications. Your strong attention to detail and capacity to learn quickly will be essential as you navigate complex processing procedures. You'll apply your specialised knowledge to process complex PVA exceptions, providing advice to less-experienced team members along the way. Your strong communication and time-management skills will be put to good use as you coordinate the processing team to meet critical deadlines.

  • Support the postal voting team to process high volumes of incomplete or uncaptured scanned Postal Vote Applications.
  • Assist Project Officer(s), Senior Project Officer(s) and Assistant Director(s) during election delivery.
  • Provide guidance and triage queries of less-experienced staff.
  • Follow complex processing procedures with precision and accuracy.
  • Apply sound judgement and specialised knowledge to process complex PVA exceptions.
  • Handle elector information with precision and sensitivity.
  • Coordinate the processing team to meet critical deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Capable of basic data entry.
