Our client, a large Federal Government organisation based in Canberra, is seeking Project Officers to join their team. An opportunity to be part of a significant project that will have a substantial impact on the Australian community. The successful candidate will be based in Canberra and will play a crucial role in collecting and analysing data on polling place activities.

What you'll do:

As an APS1 Project Officer - Metrics, your primary responsibility will be to collect and analyse data on polling place activities. To prepare you for this role, you'll receive mandatory in-person training.

  • Collect data on polling place activities using electronic tablets.
  • Monitor how long it takes to issue votes, how long voters take to vote, and how long it takes to count ballot papers.
  • Perform duties primarily on election day, with some work in the days prior.
  • Attend mandatory in-person training in the week before election day.
  • Work location will be at polling places in the ACT and Queanbeyan.

What you bring:

  • Basic technology skills are essential for handling electronic tablets.
  • Basic administrative skills are necessary for managing data collection tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, particularly on election day.
  • Strong commitment to accuracy and detail in all aspects of data collection.
  • Flexibility to work at different polling places within the ACT and Queanbeyan.
