EL1 Project Officer

Robert Walters are seeking an EL1 Project Officer for a long term contract with a high profile Federal Government Department.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Armoured Vehicle (AV) team, business areas, and technical experts to successfully deliver a range of service improvements and capabilities for Civilian Armoured Vehicles (CAV). The department operates and manages a fleet of over 100 CAVs constructed by various armourers in over 20 locations internationally. The CAV’s are distributed throughout various locations around the world. The CAV fleet is managed by a team located in the Canberra office.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to project teams, including scheduling, documentation, and coordination of activities.
  • An ability to develop and maintain a service-oriented culture that provides high-quality, reliable, and timely support to the CAV Team.
  • Experience with designing and producing infographics to support project presentations, reports, and marketing materials.
  • Assist in the development and execution of communication plans, create content for various channels, and ensure clear and effective communication within the project team and with stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions and successful adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs and project plans, supporting the successful implementation of project initiatives.
  • An ability to assist in the development and implementation of frameworks, policies, guidelines, and other resources that deliver business outcomes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Skills/Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in project management or a similar role.
  • Vehicle fleet management experience is essential.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in creating infographics and other visual aids.
  • Experience in change management practices and principles.
  • Experience in developing project plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or project management software.
