You will play a crucial role in delivering on action planning for continuous improvement initiatives, managing data visualisation dashboards, and influencing decision-making across the organisation. What you'll do:
As a Principal Project Officer, you will be at the forefront of driving change within the organisation. Your role will involve turning data into actionable insights that align with strategic objectives. You will also contribute to initiatives that improve service delivery for diverse communities. Your expertise in data analysis and dashboard management will be instrumental in enhancing business processes, systems, governance and capability within the department. This role offers a unique chance to join a multidisciplinary team and make a lasting impact on the educational landscape.
Analyse complex datasets to extract meaningful insights
Collaborate with the Project Director in developing and executing in-progress action plans for continuous improvement
Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboarding to provide real-time reporting and visualisation of key performance indicators and project metrics
Support identification, recommendation, and implementation of enhancements to planning tools, templates, business processes, and systems
Contribute to the development and application of quality assurance frameworks to elevate project planning standards
Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for the Project Director to support continuous improvement initiatives
Assist the Project Director in managing changes related to process improvements
Aid in developing and refining project design templates, process maps, and standard operating procedures
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Principal Project Officer position brings a wealth of experience from infrastructure planning or project management environments. Your proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI for dashboard creation and data visualisation will be essential for this role. Experience with other Microsoft tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Teams is also highly regarded. A background in government or public sector roles would be beneficial. Your ability to analyse complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights will be key to your success in this role.
Qualifications or industry experience in infrastructure planning (built environment), project management, business improvement, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI, including dashboard creation and data visualisation.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, SAP Enterprise Portal.
Experience in the government, public, or education sector.
Background in project/program management within infrastructure (built environment) projects.
Demonstrated ability to analyse data and translate it into actionable insights.
