We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of a prestigious, high-profile event scheduled for mid-August 2026 at Adelaide Oval. This flagship event will host key dignitaries, including the Premier, Governor, and Governor General, alongside 1,500 students from across South Australia. The role is full-time until September 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of a prestigious high-profile event, ensuring all aspects run smoothly and successfully.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk assessments to ensure delivery within scope and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align on objectives and expectations.
  • Coordinate logistics for venue setup at Adelaide Oval, including catering, AV requirements, seating arrangements, and security protocols.
  • Liaise with high-profile attendees such as government officials and dignitaries to ensure their participation is well-organised.
  • Manage communication strategies to promote the event effectively among schools and communities across South Australia.
  • Oversee student engagement activities leading up to the convention to maximise participation and impact.
  • Monitor progress throughout the project life cycle and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Identify challenges or risks early on and implement solutions proactively.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience in project management roles.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Stakeholder management skills; experience working with government officials or high-profile individuals is highly desirable.
  • Communication skills (written and verbal) for engaging diverse audiences effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with large-scale event planning or education-related initiatives is advantageous but not essential.
